“Hitler, God & The Bible”

Ray Comfort

Mike Dunn’s guest on “Quest for Character” Tuesday, February 21, 2012 will be Ray Comfort, author of Hitler, God & The Bible.

Ray Comfort is the Founder/President/CEO of Living Waters Publications. After relocating from New Zealand to Southern California in the late 1980s, Ray introduced a long line of pastors and churches to a biblical teaching which he called Hell’s Best Kept Secret. The positive and enthusiastic response that followed took Ray’s Living Waters Publications ministry to a whole new level. From humble beginnings, LWP has become an internationally recognized ministry, reaching the lost and equipping Christians with every necessary resource to fulfill the great commission.

Ray Comfort is the co-host (with Kirk Cameron) of the award-winning television program “The Way of the Master,” which airs in 70 countries around the world. Ray is a best-selling author of more than 60 books. He and his wife, Sue, live in Southern California, where they have three grown children.

Ray has spoken on the subject of atheism at Yale and other prestigious universities, debated on ABC’s Nightline, written, God Doesn’t Believe in Atheists, The Atheist Test (booklet–over one million copies sold), You can Lead an Atheist to Evidence But You can’t Make Him Think, and, Evolution: A Fair Tale For Grownups (Bridge Logos). He was a platform speaker for American Atheists, Inc., at their 2001 National Convention. Ray and his wife Sue live in Southern California.

In Hitler, God, and the Bible, international evangelist and best-selling author Ray Comfort, exposes Adolf Hitler’s theology and abuse of religion as a means to seize political power and ultimately instigate World War II and genocide. This

fascinating study mines the depths of Hitler’s beliefs and convincingly argues that without Hitler’s misuse of Christianity, the Third Reich would not have had its legendary rise, resulting in the deaths of more than ten million innocents.

Highlighting Hitler’s youth, his influences, and his path to seducing a nation, Hitler, God, and the Bible is a fresh, stinging reminder of the power of the cross and how its misuse led to the Final Solution.

Be sure to listen to “Quest for Character with Mike Dunn” on TruthTalk AM 630 KJSL Radio. The program is LIVE Tuesday nights at 6pm, rebroadcast Thursday 6pm, Saturday 6am and Sunday 7pm.

Kimberly Smith

Mike Dunn’s guest on “Quest for Character” was Kimberly L. Smith, co-president and co-founder of Make Way Partners and author of Passport through Darkness.

Fighting to end human trafficking in the darkest corners of our world, skeptics declared many of the tasks set before Make Way Partners as impossible. However, fueled by compassion and incensed by grotesque injustice, Kimberly led Make Way Partners to the successful completion of building the first orphanage on the border of Darfur, Sudan. Building supplies had to be transported nearly 2,000 miles over hostile terrain with no roads or bridges. She now leads the way to build a powerful, indigenously based anti-trafficking network spanning Africa, Eastern Europe, and South America.

Kimberly’s passion to help others discover the unique dream God has for their lives is expressed through her writing and Our Father’s Dream retreat which she both created and leads. She divides her time between each ministry location, writing, and public speaking. Kimberly lives in Sylacauga, AL with her husband Milton where they enjoy the out of doors with their ‘puppies’, adult children, and grandchildren.

“In Allah They Trust: Understanding the Spirit Behind Islam and How to Stop It’s Advance on America”

Kamran Karimi

Mike Dunn’s co-host this week was Dr. Debra Peppers. Mike and Dr. Peppers’ guest on “Quest for Character” was Kamran Karimi founder and president of Global Exploits Ministries, Executive Producer of “The Voice of Freedom” TV broadcast and author of a new book, “In Allah They Trust”.

Global Exploits Ministries passion is to preach the Gospel to Muslims and to see their cultures and societies be transformed into ones of freedom in Christ. They also desire to raise awareness among Christians and non-Islamic nations concerning the spiritual and natural effects of Islam on people and cultures.

Mr. Karimi conducts Leadership Summits in the Middle-East, training and equipping the young generation of emerging Iranian leaders. By developing and leading relevant house churches called “Freedom Connection Communities”, he and his team are re-shaping the present and future mind molders of the culture and society in Iran.

Through his Pray for Muslims National Awakening Tours, Kamran is equipping the Church with the knowledge of how to stop the advance of Islam and how to liberate Muslims across the country and throughout the world.

In Mr. Karimi’s new book, “In Allah they Trust”: Understanding the Spirit Behind Islam and How to Stop It’s Advance on America,” our Freedom and The Church goes around today’s climate of political correctness and faces head-on the truth about the role Christians and the Church play in stemming the tide of Islam in America.

If the thought of covering America’s beloved Statue of Liberty in a Burka bothers you, then this book is for you. Sound ridiculous? Who would dream of desecrating America’s eminent symbol of freedom? Islamic fundamentalists. In fact, recently a prominent Muslim activist was quoted saying that their goal is to someday see the Islamic flag flown over the White House. These alarming facts and many more are chronicles in this new book by former Muslim from Iran, Kamran Karimi.

In Allah They Trust informs and arms readers to understand the true Islamic agenda that hopes to infiltrate every facet of American culture, including education, financial markets, politics, religion, the court system and many other aspects of day to day life. Slowly, these ideals are being inched in our system, and the outcome will affect this generation and generations of Americans to come.

But the book does not stop there. In Allah They Trust also strives to help Christians to re-examine their commitment to love and care for the people who are trapped by Islam’s false doctrines.

Be sure to listen to “Quest for Character with Mike Dunn” on TruthTalk AM 630 KJSL Radio. The program is LIVE Tuesday nights at 6pm, rebroadcast Thursday 6pm, Saturday 6am and Sunday 7pm.

“Project Inspired”

Model Nicole Weider

Mike Dunn’s guest on “Quest for Character” was Model Nicole Weider, creator and founder of Project Inspired.

Nicole Weider was a model in Hollywood for many years who, after seeing first-hand the vanity of the business and knowing in her heart she wanted more than that for her life, was set on a path that led her to Christ.

“The whole industry was so fake and superficial,” she said, noting that she stopped doing lingerie ads, such as Victoria’s Secret, because she “felt like a piece of meat” doing them.

Now, according to a Christian Post report, Weider only does modeling jobs she feels do not compromise her Christian values.

She has also started a website called Project Inspired which serves as a venue for Weider to be a positive role model for young girls so that they don’t “abuse their bodies, dress more provocatively, and behave immorally because that’s what society promotes.”

The primary focus of Project Inspired is to give teen girls another option. It’s a way for Weider to tell them that they don’t need to abuse their bodies, dress more provocatively, and behave immorally just because that’s what society promotes. Part of the idea behind the website is to help give young girls a direction in looking for positive role models in society.

Weider, who is now an outspoken Christian, started the anti-Cosmo campaign because she says the No. 1 selling women’s magazine is actively targeting minors. Nicole is leading a Change.org campaign demanding that Cosmopolitan Magazine be sold in a non-transparent wrapper to adults, in order to prevent children from buying and reading “filthy” material.

The petition has already gained nearly 18,000 signatures since its launch. Weider hopes to get the attention of the magazine’s biggest advertisers and the Federal Trade Commission chairman.

Be sure to listen to “Quest for Character with Mike Dunn” on TruthTalk AM 630 KJSL Radio. The program is LIVE Tuesday nights at 6pm, rebroadcast Thursday 6pm, Saturday 6am and Sunday 7pm.

Richard E. Simmons, III founded The Center for Executive Leadership in December 2002, a nonprofit ministry focusing on evangelism and discipleship for men, after a 28 year career in the insurance industry. Many of those years were spent with Hilb, Rogal & Hamilton, where he served as CEO. When he’s not spending time with his wife and three children, you will find Richard teaching, counseling, writing, or speaking to men’s groups across the country.

Richard is the Executive Director of The Center, where he teaches men’s bible studies, counsels individuals, and oversees a talented group of professional and personal counselors. He is a frequent public speaker and published author.

Richard Simmons is the author of a new book titled, “The True Measure of a Man”. Gathering support from the writings of noted authors and social commentators, Christian and secular, Simmons emphatically reminds us that every man at some point in life suffers misfortune.
Christina Schofield

Mike Dunn’s guest on “Quest for Character” was Christina Schofield, the author of a new book titled, “My Life and Lesser Catastrophes”.

Christina Schofield has been a children’s illustrator and writer for the last ten years, working with Zonderkidz, Group Publishing, Standard Publishing, and Cook Communications. She and her husband, Allen, a campus pastor, have one daughter, Lily, and live in Rolla, Missouri.

Christina (CCCB Class of 1993) recently had a book published about the experience she and her husband Allen (CCCB Class of 1994) went through after their motorcycle accident left him a quadriplegic.

Just after her thirteenth wedding anniversary, Christina Schofield woke up groggy and disoriented, surrounded by nurses in a hospital. She and her husband had hit a gravel patch while on their motorcycle and crashed into a ditch. With the exception of a concussion, she was fine. But Allen had broken his neck. He was now a quadriplegic.

With her entire life flipped upside down, she began an astonishing journey of tenacious faith amid increasing doubt. Full of dark, silent hours and a woman’s honest questioning of the God she thought she knew, this is also a story full of miraculous answers to prayer and head-scratching, awe-inspiring encounters with her loving Lord.

With candid warmth and transparency, Christina shows readers in her new book “My Life and Lesser Catastrophes: An Unflinchingly Honest Journey of Faith” that even in their darkest hours, God’s goodness shines through.

Be sure to listen to “Quest for Character with Mike Dunn” on TruthTalk AM 630 KJSL Radio. The program is LIVE Tuesday nights at 6pm, rebroadcast Thursday 6pm, Saturday 6am and Sunday 7pm.

Founder Brian Hardin

Mike Dunn’s guest on “Quest for Character” was Brian Hardin, the founder and host of the Daily Audio Bible and author of a new book to be released December 26th titled, “Passages”.

Brian is an author, speaker, photographer, record producer, artist and an ordained minister. In 2006, he created the Daily Audio Bible; an online podcast that now delivers 1.5 million downloads a month. He has produced over 150 albums and works with artists and the arts extensively. He is married to Christian musician Jill Parr.

He may be best known for founding Daily Audio Bible, the revolutionary Scripture podcast, downloaded nearly 40 million times, but Brian Hardin is truly a man of many hats. With his trademark soul patch of whiskers and wisps of hair framing his face, the Nashville creative rose to recognition throughout the Christian music industry producing for the legendary likes of Larry Norman to modern radio regulars like Jill Parr and Manic Drive, earning hundreds of album credits and a healthy collection of Grammy and Dove Award nominations.

Along the way, he branched out into photography, landing everything from music industry publicity shots to portraits and corporate portfolios, alongside an eye for graphic design that found his work featured in Time, CCM, Christian Retailing and Gaither Homecoming (to name a mere handful). It was from within these extraordinary accomplishments that an unexpected professional blow set Hardin on a path toward restored faith, and eventually, vocational ministry.

Brian has a new book to be released in December titled, “Passages”. Through his own story and the remarkable experiences of others, Brian Hardin inspires you to read the Bible for the adventure it is. In Passages, he answers your questions about reading Scripture, encourages you with practical ideas, and shows you that reading the Bible every day will change your life.

Be sure to listen to “Quest for Character with Mike Dunn” on TruthTalk AM 630 KJSL Radio. The program is LIVE Tuesday nights at 6pm, rebroadcast Thursday 6pm, Saturday 6am and Sunday 7pm.

“Tribute to Acclaimed Gospel Singer Calvin Hunt”

Miriam Hunt – Widow of Calvin Hunt

Mike Dunn’s co-host this week was Dr. Lynda & Bud Lynn. Mike and Dr. Lynn’s guest on “Quest for Character” was the widow of the acclaimed Gospel singer Calvin Hunt, Miriam Hunt.

Mike special guest was the widow of Calvin Hunt. Calvin was known as a featured soloist with the Grammy and Dove Award-winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and has a CD release titled, “Bridges”.

Calvin overcame many hardships in his life, one being from a six year addiction to crack cocaine. Tune in to this week’s program to hear Calvin Hunt’s amazing testimony and you will be encouraged hearing how God can bring you through anything.

The acclaimed Gospel singer was a member and soloist of the famed Christ Tabernacle Choir and Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers. His latest Vine Records’ release, Bridges, claimed 2 Dove Award nominations for Contemporary Gospel Recording and Contemporary Gospel Song, “Come On.”

Christ Tabernacle Choir Director Steven Carey commented, “Calvin Hunt’s ministry transcended his terrific musical talent…He loved Jesus Christ, he loved people, and as a result He loved to share the love of Christ with anyone he came in contact. The faith he had in the God that had delivered him from drug addiction could be powerfully felt when he would tell his story. His testimony gave people hope…everyone from the inner city to the suburbs was touched when he would speak and sing. He will be missed greatly by his local Christ Tabernacle family, the music industry, and the body of Christ.”

Producer Wayne Haun added, “Calvin was a true artist. Each note of every performance was from the heart, and you knew it. But more importantly, he was a true friend. He never treated us like a record company. We were family. He knew my mom, my nephews, what made me tic, and he even knew my favorite pasta dish. He loved the Lord, his family and his fans. Life without him is definitely going to be tough. This industry will miss him, but I’m glad his music and his message will live forever.”

Be sure to listen to “Quest for Character with Mike Dunn” on TruthTalk AM 630 KJSL Radio. The program is LIVE Tuesday nights at 6pm, rebroadcast Thursday 6pm, Saturday 6am and Sunday 7pm.
