Mike’s Interview with Model Nicole Weider, creator and founder of Project Inspired. 

Nicole Weider was a model in Hollywood for many years who, after seeing first-hand the vanity of the business and knowing in her heart she wanted more than that for her life, was set on a path that led her to Christ. 

“The whole industry was so fake and superficial,” she said, noting that she stopped doing lingerie ads, such as Victoria’s Secret, because she “felt like a piece of meat” doing them.  Now, according to a Christian Post report, Weider only does modeling jobs she feels do not compromise her Christian values. 

She has also started a website called Project Inspired which serves as a venue for Weider to be a positive role model for young girls so that they don’t “abuse their bodies, dress more provocatively, and behave immorally because that’s what society promotes.” 

The primary focus of Project Inspired is to give teen girls another option. It’s a way for Weider to tell them that they don’t need to abuse their bodies, dress more provocatively, and behave immorally just because that’s what society promotes. Part of the idea behind the website is to help give young girls a direction in looking for positive role models in society.

Mike’s Interview with Kimberly L. Smith, co-president and co-founder of Make Way Partners and author of Passport through Darkness.

Fighting to end human trafficking in the darkest corners of our world, skeptics declared many of the tasks set before Make Way Partners as impossible. However, fueled by compassion and incensed by grotesque injustice, Kimberly led Make Way Partners to the successful completion of building the first orphanage on the border of Darfur, Sudan. Building supplies had to be transported nearly 2,000 miles over hostile terrain with no roads or bridges. She now leads the way to build a powerful, indigenously based anti-trafficking network spanning Africa, Eastern Europe, and South America.

Kimberly’s passion to help others discover the unique dream God has for their lives is expressed through her writing and Our Father’s Dream retreat which she both created and leads. She divides her time between each ministry location, writing, and public speaking. Kimberly lives in Sylacauga, AL with her husband Milton where they enjoy the out of doors with their ‘puppies’, adult children, and grandchildren.

Mike’s Interview with Carl Kerby President and founder of “Reasons for Hope”. 

Carl Kerby is president and founder of “Reasons for Hope” (rforh.com), founded in 2011 as a response to a calling from God to proclaim the authority and authenticity of the Bible. He was previously a founding board member at Answers in Genesis for ten years and served there for over fifteen years. Before that, he worked as an air-traffic controller at O’Hare International Airport. 

Kerby’s love for Jesus fuels a passion to engage the minds and hearts of youth and adults so that they can know the truth of God’s Word. He is a sought-after speaker both in the United States and abroad. Yet, his most cherished accomplishment is his 29-year marriage to his wife, Masami, and his roles as father to his children, Alisa and Carl, Jr., and as grandfather to Trey.

Mike’s Interview with Richard E. Simmons III, the author of a new book titled, “The True Measure of a Man”. 

Richard E. Simmons, III founded The Center for Executive Leadership in December 2002, a nonprofit ministry focusing on evangelism and discipleship for men, after a 28 year career in the insurance industry.  Many of those years were spent with Hilb, Rogal & Hamilton, where he served as CEO.   When he’s not spending time with his wife and three children, you will find Richard teaching, counseling, writing, or speaking to men’s groups across the country. 

Richard is the Executive Director of The Center, where he teaches men’s bible studies, counsels individuals, and oversees a talented group of professional and personal counselors. He is a frequent public speaker and published author. 

Richard Simmons is the author of a new book titled, “The True Measure of a Man”.  Gathering support from the writings of noted authors and social commentators, Christian and secular, Simmons emphatically reminds us that every man at some point in life suffers misfortune. No one is exempt. However, the challenges of life offer men the potential for great good. In the midst of these struggles, Simmons writes, we have the opportunity to see our lives transformed.

Mike’s Interview with Christina and Allen Schofield, author of a new book titled, “My Life and Lesser Catastrophes”. 

Christina Schofield has been a children’s illustrator and writer for the last ten years, working with Zonderkidz, Group Publishing, Standard Publishing, and Cook Communications. She and her husband, Allen, a campus pastor, have one daughter, Lily, and live in Rolla, Missouri. 

Christina (CCCB Class of 1993) recently had a book published about the experience she and her husband Allen (CCCB Class of 1994) went through after their motorcycle accident left him a quadriplegic.

Mike’s Interview with Brian Hardin, founder of the “Daily Audio Bible” and author of a new book titled, “Passages”.  

Brian is an author, speaker, photographer, record producer, artist and an ordained minister. In 2006, he created the Daily Audio Bible; an online podcast that now delivers 1.5 million downloads a month. He has produced over 150 albums and works with artists and the arts extensively. He is married to Christian musician Jill Parr.

He may be best known for founding Daily Audio Bible, the revolutionary Scripture podcast, downloaded nearly 40 million times, but Brian Hardin is truly a man of many hats. With his trademark soul patch of whiskers and wisps of hair framing his face, the Nashville creative rose to recognition throughout the Christian music industry producing for the legendary likes of Larry Norman to modern radio regulars like Jill Parr and Manic Drive, earning hundreds of album credits and a healthy collection of Grammy and Dove Award nominations.

Mike’s co-host was Dr. Debra Peppers.  Their Interview with Steve Siler, founder of “Music for the Soul”  

Steve Siler is a songwriter and producer. For 11 years he served as a writer in the Christian music industry, during which time he has had more than 400 of his songs recorded in the Christian market by such artists as Point of Grace, Avalon, Anointed, Clay Crosse, The Martins, Aaron Jeoffrey, Greg Long, Be Be Winans, Bob Carlisle, Sandi Patty, Scott Krippayne, Tammy Trent and Larnelle Harris, among others. 

Nominated for four Dove Awards, Siler won the award in 2000 for Inspirational Song of the Year with “I Will Follow Christ.” His best known songs are “Circle of Friends” and “Not Too Far From Here.” He has had nine #1 CCM songs and more than 40 “Top 10” singles. 

Siler has had songs recorded by pop artists, such as Kenny Loggins, Smokey Robinson, Patti Labelle and Patti Austin. His songs have landed in feature films and on all four of the major television networks. Prior to his work in songwriting, Siler worked in marketing for A & M Records in Los Angeles.

Mike’s co-host was Dr. Lynda & Bud Lynn.  Their Interview with the widow of the Acclaimed Gospel Singer Calvin Hunt, Miriam Hunt 

Mike special guest was the widow of Calvin Hunt.  Calvin was known as a featured soloist with the Grammy and Dove Award-winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and has a CD release titled, “Bridges”.
 
Calvin overcame many hardships in his life, one being from a six year addiction to crack cocaine.  This week’s program was about Calvin Hunt’s amazing testimony 

The acclaimed Gospel singer was a member and soloist of the famed Christ Tabernacle Choir and Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers. His latest Vine Records’ release, Bridges, claimed 2 Dove Award nominations for Contemporary Gospel Recording and Contemporary Gospel Song, “Come On.”

Mike’s co-host was Paula “PA” Moller. Their Interview with the former Publisher of Venus Magazine, Evangelist Charlene E. Cothran 

Conference Speaker, Author, Rev. and Evangelist Charlene E. Cothran is the founder of The Evidence Ministry, Inc.  The ministry is planning its first major conference for July 2012.  Cothran is the former publisher of VENUS Magazine and current publisher of VICTORY Magazine.

For 29 years prior to her transformation, Rev. Charlene E. Cothran had been an aggressive, creative and strategic supporter of gay and lesbian issues.  As an activist, she organized and participated in marches and various lobbying efforts in the fight for equal treatment of gay men and lesbians. 

VENUS Magazine once successfully targeted African American gays and lesbians.  In that capacity, Cothran publicly addressed thousands, influencing closeted individuals to ‘come out’ and stand up for themselves.

“But now,” she states in a front page article in her own magazine, “I must come out of the closet again.  I have recently experienced the power of change that came over me once I completely surrendered to the teachings of Jesus Christ.  As a believer of the word of God, I fully accept and have always known that same-sex relationships are not what God intended for us.”

Mark R. Laaser is an internationally known counselor, author, teacher and speaker. Mike’s Interview with Lily Isaacs from the Southern Gospel Group “The Isaacs”, their new CD release is “Why Can’t We” 

The Isaacs are one of the most beloved groups in Southern Gospel music. For over thirty years the Isaacs have been traveling together performing a style of music that is uniquely their own. Mix together a generous portion of bluegrass instrumentation, southern gospel lyrics and sincere family harmonies, toss in a heart to reach an audience for Christ and you have the Isaacs. 

Lily Isaacs is a vocalist and matriarch of the group. She was born in Germany after World War II to two Jewish Holocaust survivors and moved to the United States when she was 2 years old. She grew up in the Bronx, NY studying theatre and performing on Off Broadway and in 1968 recorded a folk album on Columbia Records with her friend as “Lily and Maria.” She became a Christian in 1971 when a death in the family brought her and patriarch Joe Isaacs to church for the first time. That night, they began singing Christian music and laid the foundation upon which the Isaacs ministry has been built.

Mike’s Interview with the founder and president of “God in a Brothel”, Daniel Walker 

Daniel Walker is the founder of Nvader, an organization dedicated to effectively combating human trafficking around the world. 

Mr. Walker has worked as an undercover investigator for a number of nonprofit organizations working to free women and children from sex trafficking in the United States and in over a dozen countries around the world. He holds a master’s degree in Third World economic development from Eastern University in Philadelphia. He has over twenty years of experience in law enforcement and is currently working as a police detective based in New Zealand.

Mike’s Interview with the author of ”U.S. Army Sergeant and Purple Heart recipient”, Brian C (B.C.) Fleming 

Brian C. (B.C.) Fleming is a combat-wounded veteran, author, and speaker. Through personal life experience, he helps people overcome adversity and devastation. 

B.C. began his adult life serving as a Team Leader in a Reconnaissance Platoon with the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division. A Purple Heart recipient, he was blown up TWICE while fighting the war on terror and sustained multiple life-threatening injuries from the attack of a suicide bomber who exploded 3 feet away from him on July 24th, 2006 in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Mike’s Interview with the author of “End of the Spear”, Author Steve Saint 

Steve Saint was born and raised in Ecuador where his parents were missionaries. His father, Nate Saint, was the “Jungle Pilot” who was one of five young men killed in 1956 by the Waodani Indians (known as Aucas) whom they were trying to reach with the gospel. Steve founded and currently leads the ministry I-TEC (Indigenous People’s Technology and Education Center) with the vision of finding better ways of doing missions and giving indigenous God-followers the tools they need to fulfill their role in the Great Commission. Steve has authored three inspiring books: The Great Omission, End of the Spear and Walking His Trail.

Mike’s Interview with the author of ”Spiritual Warfare”, Dr. Karl Payne 

Dr. Karl Payne is a pastor, teacher, speaker, author and chaplain. He is currently on staff at Antioch Bible Church of Redmond, WA where his primary role is serving as the Pastor of Leadership Development and Discipleship Training. He has continued to serve as the chaplain for the Seattle Seahawks football team since 1994. 

Karl’s reputation as an apologist and discipleship trainer is well known among professional athletes throughout the NFL, churches across the country, and home schooling advocates across Washington State. He has co-authored two books published by Multnomah Press Publishers; his latest book, Spiritual Warfare: Christians, Demonization and Deliverance has become a helpful tool both home and abroad in learning how to successfully recognize and respond to attacks from the world, the flesh and the devil.

Mike’s Interview with the author of ”The Privilege of Persecution”, Dr. Carl A. Moeller.

Dr. Carl A. Moeller, President and CEO of Open Doors USA, is a dedicated advocate for the millions of Christians around the globe who are denied religious freedom and basic human rights. He travels to the world’s most oppressive regimes, meeting with and encouraging Christians who live in the shadows of discrimination, imprisonment and even death for their faith. Moeller is a passionate spokesperson focused on raising awareness of the plight of those who are persecuted for their religious beliefs. His mission is to mobilize Christians to pray, encourage and advocate on behalf of suffering believers.

Moeller began his ministry in 1983 when he joined Campus Crusade for Christ International. There he gained a global Christian perspective working with church leaders in eastern European communist countries. He says of this time: “I discovered the Church was vitally alive despite decades of persecution and harassment from government officials. That really stoked my passion for suffering believers.”

These work experiences prepared Moeller to turn his passion for suffering believers to full-time ministry in 2003 when he was appointed President and CEO of Open Doors USA. Founded over 55 years ago by Brother Andrew, Open Doors now supports and strengthens persecuted Christians in 60 countries.

Dr. Moeller will talk about his new book, “The Privilege of Persecution”.  Through a combination of inspiring real-life stories, firsthand experiences, and exposition of key Scripture passages, Dr. Carl Moeller and Pastor David Hegg examine the “normal Christian life” of Christ-followers currently suffering persecution around the world.

Mike’s Interview with the author of “The Soul of St. Louis”, Pastor James R. Beller and the Pastor of Gateway Baptist Church, Danny McCrillis.

 James R. Beller grew up on the ”South Side” of St. Louis.  In high school Pastor Beller was “born again” after reading Bible tracts given to his mother.  He surrendered to the Gospel while attending a local university and then enrolled in Bible College.

Today James pastors Arnold Baptist Tabernacle Church in Jefferson County since 1987. Pastor Beller believes one way we can take back America is church planting.  Amazingly, Baptist Tabernacle has planted numerous area churches.

Baptist Tabernacle is currently assisting in planting “The Gateway Baptist Church” on the extreme south side of St. Louis.

Mike’s Interview one of the writers who also play the role of “Adam” in the movie “Courageous”, Alex Kendrick

Alex Kendrick is an associate pastor at Sherwood Baptist Church.  In 2002, Kendrick Brothers Productions in association with Sherwood Pictures began work on the first movie, Flywheel, which Alex wrote, directed, produced, and acted in.  After the overwhelming response to the film, Alex and his brother Stephen again partnered to write and produce Facing the Giants, which was picked up and distributed by Provident Films, a branch of Sony Pictures. Alex directed and acted in the film, which went on to gross more than $10 million in box office receipts. The DVD was released in thirteen languages, in fifty-six countries, and sold more than 2 million copies.

Alex and Stephen followed that hit by writing and producing Fireproof, the highest-grossing independent film of 2008 with over $33 million in box office sales.  Alex directed the film, which has since sold more than 3 million DVDs. To date, Alex has received more than twenty awards for his work, including best screenplay, best production, and best feature film.

Along with his brother Stephen, Alex Kendrick wrote the screenplay for Courageous. In addition to playing the role of Adam, Alex also served as the director of the movie, which he has also done for the previous three Sherwood Pictures movies.

Mike’s Interview with the founder of “Beauty Beyond the Ashes Ministry”, Cheryl McGuinness

Cheryl is the wife of Tom McGuinness who was the co-pilot of American Airlines Flight 11 – the first airplane to crash into the World Trade Center. On that day, Cheryl’s world fell apart. 

We have all been impacted by September 11th. Security, peace, safety – things we all took for granted – become casualties of that infamous day. Every life endures sadness and loss. But her story is that no matter what you have experienced or what pain you have suffered, God can bring you through the ashes of destruction to the beauty of life.

Since that day, Cheryl has learned how to hope again. Through her powerful story, others can find hope as well. Cheryl’s message of renewal, recovery and faith is a message that resonates.  She is the founder of Beauty Beyond the Ashes Ministry, ministering God’s love and healing through brokenness.

Mike’s Interview with the son of slain football coach Ed Thomas, Aaron Thomas.

The Cedar Valley native — whose father, legendary Aplington-Parkersburg High School football coach Ed Thomas, was fatally shot in June 2009 by one his former players — spoke about forgiveness at Prairie Lake Church’s Saturday and Sunday services in Cedar Falls. Last month the Thomas family was honored with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at ESPN’s “ESPY Awards” ceremony.

The honor is presented annually to individuals whose contributions transcend the world of sports, and recognized the clan’s efforts to forgive and encourage others in their community to do the same.

Mike’s Interview with Dick Eastman, International President of “Every Home for Christ” and author of “The Purple Pig and Other Miracles!” along with his son.

Dr. Dick Eastman is the international president of Every Home for Christ, a 60 plus year old ministry that has planted over 2.9 billion gospel messages home to home in 198 nations resulting in over 92 million followed-up decision cards and responses.

In his role with Every Home for Christ, Dick has traveled around the world more than 40 times to every continent. He also serves as president of America’s National Prayer Committee, a diverse group of evangelical leaders instrumental in planning America’s annual National Day of Prayer scheduled by Congressional decree for the first Thursday of May each year. As president of the National Prayer Committee, Dick has been invited to the White House several times in recent years as the guest of former Presidents Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Bill Clinton, and more recently George W. Bush.

Mike and Mr. Eastman will discuss his new book, “The Purple Pig and Other Miracles: How a radical band of young intercessors tapped into the supernatural, shook up the world, and inspired today’s global prayer movements.”

Mike’s Interview with Chad and Alicia Edwards of Taiwan Missions.

Chad and Alicia were married in 1994 and moved to Taiwan in 1996 to help a family plant a church in one of the most densely populated areas in the world.  Chad and Alicia along with their three children Caitlyn, Allyson and Cole B currently live in New Taipei City, Yong He District where they have been working now for 15+ years.  Taipei has over 6,000,000 people.

Mike’s Interview with the author of “Pressing into Thin Places”, Dr. Margaret Harrell Wills, EdD.

A writer and a poet, Dr. Wills is dedicated to the ministry of encouragement and helping people experience hope, wisdom, and faith in their spiritual journey. She has written for a number of publications, including The Journal of the Fort Smith Historical Society and Issues and Inquiry in College Learning and Teaching.

She previously served on the board of the Arkansas Community Foundation as an appointee of Governor Mike Huckabee. She has been a guest lecturer in the Leadership and Ethics Program at John Brown University and has spoken on the topic of “Leaving a Character Legacy.”

Dr. Will is the author of “Pressing into Thin Places” which is a collection of stories from her personal experiences, punctuated by poetry and infused with biblical verses and rich truths. Mike’s Interview with the author of “Wounded Soldier, Healing Warrior”, Allen B. Clark, Jr.

It was early morning, June 17, 1967, and Dak To Special Forces camp in Vietnam was under attack. A mortar exploded, and West Point graduate Allen B. Clark Jr.’s life was changed forever. This is the story of how one soldier, so gravely injured that both of his legs were amputated, turned his grievous loss into a personal triumph.

Clark describes his struggle through a year-long recovery and a severe bout of post traumatic stress disorder, so little understood at the time. He tells of earning his MBA from Southern Methodist University and finding employment as a personal financial assistant to Ross Perot, of moving on to public service and founding the Combat Faith Ministry, a lay ministry to veterans.

Bombay Teen Challenge (BTC has evolved into an organization that: rescues and cares for sex slaves in the brothels of Mumbai, cares for the children of sex slaves, juveniles roaming the streets, addicts and runaways.

BTC is committed to meeting not only the physical needs, but the mental, emotional and spiritual needs as well. BTC accomplishes this by providing medical clinics within the red light district, providing food to the hungry on the streets, day schools to the street children, homes outside of Mumbai for those rescued which include women, children, boys and men.

Mike’s Interview with Jeff Struecker, Chaplain (Major) and Author of “Fallen Angel”.

Chaplain (Major) Jeff Struecker was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He entered the Army as an enlisted soldier in September 1987 and remained on active duty until April 2000 when he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Reserve as a Chaplain Candidate. He confessed Christ as Savior as a teenager and was called to the ministry while serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Ft. Benning, Georgia.  

He served for ten years in the 75th Ranger Regiment in positions from Ranger Reconnaissance Specialist to Platoon Sergeant. While serving in the 75th Ranger Regiment, Chaplain Struecker competed in the David L. Grange Best Ranger Competition for three consecutive years. His efforts culminated with a first place finish in 1996.

Major Jeff Struecker (a real life Black Hawk Down veteran) and his award-winning co-author tell a space-based intelligence story of intense extremes in their new novel, Fallen Angel, named for the “Angel-12″ American satellite that is ambushed by China and falls 22,000 miles to land in remote Siberia.

The Honor Flight Network program was conceived by Earl Morse, a physician assistant and Retired Air Force Captain. Earl wanted to honor the veterans he had taken care of for the past 27 years. After retiring from the Air Force in 1998, Earl was hired by the Department of Veterans Affairs to work in a small clinic in Springfield, Ohio. In May of 2004, the World War II Memorial was finally completed and dedicated in Washington, D.C. and quickly became the topic of discussion among his World War II veteran patients.

Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices.  We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.  Earl Morse is the co-founder of the Honor Flight Network and president .

Prodded on by several families in Dallas who became interested in starting a new church, Gene launched Fellowship Bible Church in November of 1972. Mike’s Interview with the son of slain football coach Ed Thomas, Aaron Thomas.

The Cedar Valley native — whose father, legendary Aplington-Parkersburg High School football coach Ed Thomas, was fatally shot in June 2009 by one his former players — spoke about forgiveness at Prairie Lake Church’s Saturday and Sunday services in Cedar Falls. Last month the Thomas family was honored with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at ESPN’s “ESPY Awards” ceremony.

The honor is presented annually to individuals whose contributions transcend the world of sports, and recognized the clan’s efforts to forgive and encourage others in their community to do the same.

Dan Woolley works at Compassion International as the Internet Program Marketing Manager. He has been heavily involved in developing the rescuebabiesnow.org website for Compassion’s Child Survival Program.     

On his second day working with Compassion International in Haiti, Dan Woolley returned to the Hotel Montana just seconds before the quake hit, turning the six-story building into a pile of rubble. Due to a last-minute hotel switch, he found himself at the epicenter of last January’s Haiti earthquake, trapped beneath what was once one of Haiti’s finest hotels. 

Woolley spent 65 hours trapped beneath the Hotel Montana in complete darkness. With serious leg and head injuries, he battled shock, fatigue, dehydration, despair and anger with God. Using the flash of his camera, Woolley made his way through what remained of the hotel lobby to an open elevator car and forced himself to do everything within his power to stay alive. “I wasn’t going to survive an earthquake, just to die from shock or dehydration” says Woolley. “More than anything I wanted to get home to see my wife and two sons. I needed to stay alive for them.”

Then suddenly, and seemingly without warning, Carolyn made national headlines when she committed an incomprehensible crime against her then-husband Larry Huebner and was sent away to federal prison. The Minnesota Fallen Heroes Remembered Calendar is now in its second year. It was the first calendar of its kind in the nation. Every month a Minnesota fallen soldier is remembered with pictures and stories sent by his family. 

The proceeds from the calendar go to the Bryan McDonough Military Heroes Foundation started by Tom McDonough in honor of his son Bryan, KIA in Iraq. Bryan is our July soldier in the 2010 calendar. Much of the money will go to the Fisher House, which houses the families of our wounded warriors while they recover from battle wounds.

On Feb. 13, 2006, Steven and Maryanne received the call no family ever wants to get:  ”Your son has been in a car accident.”
  
Their son Luke was a passenger, riding home from Lacrosse practice on a Monday night with four teammates. No drugs. No alcohol. But the teenage driver of the car chose to speed 77 miles an hour down a steep rural road, losing control and flying off a 70-foot embankment. 
   
Twenty-four agonizing, heart-wrenching hours later, doctors declared Luke brain dead.  They kept him alive in order to harvest his organs so others could live. He died on Feb. 15, 2006 — four days before his 16th birthday.

Dave Roever grew up in a loving, committed family in South Texas. The last thing on his mind was going to war. At the height of the Vietnam War, he received his draft notice. Having no desire to serve in the infantry, he joined the Navy and served as a river boat gunner in the elite Brown Water Black Beret in Vietnam.  

Eight months into his tour of duty in Vietnam, Dave was burned beyond recognition when a phosphorous grenade he was poised to throw exploded in his hand. The ordeal left him hospitalized for fourteen months, where he underwent numerous major surgeries. His survival and life are miraculous.

Mike’s Interview with the author of “Healing Prayer on Holy Ground,” Dr. Mark Sheehan.  

Dr. Sheehan is a board certified cardiologist and has been practicing cardiology since 1981.  He is a member of South Denver Cardiology Associates and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Mark is a Co-founder of the Christian Medical Ministry to Cambodia/Jeremiah’s Hope and serves as its Chairman of the Board (www.cmmcjh.com).  Mark continues to lead numerous medical teams to Cambodia to teach the Cambodian medical community and care for the poor under the banner of Jesus Christ.

Mike’s Interview with the brother of Terri Schiavo, Bobby Schindler  

Bobby Schindler, is now working full-time for the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network (formerly Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation) which was originally founded in the year 2000 by the parents and siblings of Terri Schiavo. In that year, the Foundation’s mission was working towards protecting the life of Terri Schiavo, a woman with profound cognitive disabilities. 

Schiavo relied on a feeding tube to provide her with nutrition and hydration following a significant brain injury in 1990. Her husband sought out Florida’s circuit court for the authority to remove her food and water in order to cause her death. His bid was successful and ended in Terri Schiavo’s death by marked dehydration on March 31, 2005.

If there was one word to describe Ceitci Demirkova’s ministry and life, it is inspiring. Born in communist Bulgaria, she grew up shy and driven by fear because of the oppressive environment. When the communist regime fell in 1989, the Gospel was preached in her country, and at age 16 Ceitci began a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ. Since then, her life has been a message of overcoming.

Despite financial limitations and the language barrier, Ceitci came to the United States with a mission to reach the Nations for God, and was accepted a month later, January 1996, into Victory Bible Institute located in Tulsa, OK. From there, she graduated and entered into full time ministry, founding Ceitci Demirkova Ministries in July 1996 and in the same year receiving the title of ordained minister.

Bob Hamer spent twenty-six years as a “street agent” for the FBI, many of them in an undercover capacity. The Katinas are a group of five brothers born in American Samoa, located about 1,000 miles south of Hawaii. The Katinas began singing together while still children, and started performing at churches and fairs; as they grew, they concentrated on creating their musical message of love, faith, and family, writing many songs inspired by and dedicated to their mother.

Mike’s Interview the Author of “Held Hostage” Ken Cooper     

The Ken Cooper Prison Ministry, founded in 2000, provides long-term transition services to selected inmate addicts.  Those in the program are housed in three Jacksonville-based aftercare facilities.  The ministry is run by ex-offenders and has a ten percent recidivism rate. 

Using “Integreality” as the primary approach to overcoming addictions, a team of fourteen men and women who lead discipleship and recovery education classes for males and females in two major prisons has been developed. Graduates report a remarkable 70 percent success rate.  

The KCPM evangelism and discipleship teams share the good news of freedom and hope through Jesus Christ with thousands of men and women in prison.

The Katinas are a Contemporary Christian music group. The family of five brothers hails from American Samoa, and moved to Washington, USA after the death of their mother in 1988. The group’s members sang in church as children, and began playing fairs, soon moving up to nationwide slots opening for R. Kelly, Jasmine Guy, DC Talk, and Amy Grant.  They shared the stage with Bill Gaither, Andre Crouch and Vince Gill and Michael McDonald. 

‘Sounds of Christmas’ gave us an opportunity to make a Christmas record that drew from different sounds both sonically and stylistically. Our hope is that the entire family will be able to enjoy these Christmas classics with perhaps a different twist.

In 1994 Lynda wrote the popular Christmas single, “Ozark Mountain Christmas” that’s played every year during the holiday season on Wal-Mart Radio throughout the nation, and it won Lynda a Golden Award for Excellence in Nashville.  

Also with Dr. Lynn was the legendary Gary McSpadden.  Gary sang with Bill and Gloria Gaither, and also as an original member of the Gaither Vocal Band, this Texas gentleman’s popularity rose to enormous new heights in Christian music. Currently, Gary McSpadden is host of television shows seen on TBN, FamilyNet, and other networks.

Pastor Dickerman has directed an international ministry to prisons since 1974, having personally ministered in more than 850 different prison facilities in North America, the Caribbean and Europe. In 1995, he received a powerful anointing for healing and deliverance.  He has written such books as “When Pigs Move In”, “Serpents in the Sanctuary”, Turmoil in the Temple” and “Protected by Angels.”  Don has seen many receive deliverance and healing through his ministry.   

Being “unashamed of the Gospel” takes on new meaning when you step out in faith and begin to witness the miraculous!  Don graduated from a Baptist seminary and is an ordained Baptist Minister and began a ministry to prisons in 1974.  Don is Spirit-filled, anointed and has an exciting ministry both to prisons and churches.  While he still ministers in prisons, the focus of he ministry since 1995 has been in deliverance and healing.

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Brian Birdwell is a survivor of the terrorists’ attacks on September 11, 2001. After hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 collided into the Pentagon, Birdwell was thrown to the ground and engulfed in flames. Of the burns that consumed 60 percent of his body, nearly half were third degree, resulting in the need for 30 plus operations. Brian’s recovery has been truly remarkable and spiritually he is stronger than ever before.   

Together, he and his wife, Mel, share that spiritual strength and encouragement with other burn survivors and their families through the message of Christ’s love and sovereignty.
